Nova is a hand-dyed FF size cotton thread. This thread is the ideal size for wrapping bassoon reeds. It is common to find reed threads made of nylon. Cotton thread has slight self-adhesive properties, which allow for a clean turban to be wrapped. Spools contain 230 ft (70m) of thread. Please note that cotton threads are not strong enough for oboe reeds. Please consider a nylon spool instead.
