Hi! I’m Josh Faiella, the owner of Reedcrest. I’m a Pittsburgh-based bassoonist and freelancer. I have studied reed making for many years and am passionate about access to education. I have held a private studio for the past five years and am always open to additional students.

I have been fortunate to study bassoon and reedmaking with excellent teachers like Jim Rodgers, Nancy Goeres, and Amy Baker. Outside of the music world, I am a full-time hydroponic farmer. I greatly enjoy horticulture, cooking and baking, and playing with my cat, Pebbles.
