Hi! I’m Josh Faiella, the owner of Reedcrest. I’m a Pittsburgh-based bassoonist and freelancer. I have studied reed making for many years and am passionate about access to education. If you are interested in my reed making process, check out my Reed Making Resources. I have been fortunate to study bassoon with Jim Rodgers, Nancy Goeres, and Amy Baker. Outside of the music world, I study Biology. Science has been vital to my life and has enabled my bassoon playing to achieve new heights. In my free time, I tend to my houseplants and practice yoga.
